Between Life, Science, and the Illusion of Eternity What does it mean to confront death when it appears to have been suspended in time? A shark floats motionlessly inside a glass tank. A sheep stands in a transparent chamber, seemingly untouched by the passage of time. A cow and its calf are divided into separate sections, their bodies transformed into objects of clinical observation. Removed from their natural environments, these animals occupy an unsettling space between life and death, beauty and violence, preservation and decay.
